Glacier Park James Duncan Davidson recently took a road trip through Montana. In particular, he journeyed through Glacier, Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. It's a similar trip to the one I'm about to embark upon. Pictures from his trip are available on Flickr.

I especially like his photos of Glacier Park. It's been far too long since I've visited this incredible place. Since it's a mere 2 hours from the cabin, I hope to add it to our list of "fun things we did in Montana."

Glacier National Park

Are there any glaciers left at Glacier? To paraphrase some comedian or other - glacier, there's a word that you kids won't understand.

There are indeed a few glaciers left. When the park was founded, there were something like 150. Now there's something around 20. They'll be gone within 20 years. You can see a few of them from the road, but you have to hike a ways to get close to any. Matt: Have fun on your trip!

Matt, your post and James' post have motivated me to organize my pics from Yellowstone and Teton NPs. I was up there in the summer of 2003. That part of the country is amazing. Anyhow, if this is "show and tell" you can see my pics at: Yellowstone and Grand Teton NP.

Funny, I was also in Yellowstone and the Tetons in the summer of 2003. Tried to scramble the Little Teton, but chickened out when it got really steep. Mats
