The Perfect Summer Vacation?

OSCON is July 23-27. The Oregon Brewers Festival is July 26-29. If you combine those two with a night at McMenamins Kennedy School, it sounds like the perfect summer vacation to me. ;-)

I hear that farm they run... Edgefield... isn't half bad either. They serve a mean heart attack burger if I remember right.

My dad called for reservations last night. Both Edgefied and Kennedy are booked on Friday night. Figures with the beer festival being in town and all. He did find some openings at the White Eagle Saloon though. Apparently, there's no sleeping until the bar closes and music stops, but that might be perfect after a day at the brew festival.

It's not next to OSCON but the Portland International Beer Fest is *way* better than the brewer's fest: http://www.seattlebeerfest.com/Index2%20PIB.htm 2 beer fests, nice problem to have no? :) We're lucky here in Portland.
