The Ajax Experience Redux When I found out about The Ajax Experience, I was a little disappointed.

This is a show I'd love to attend. However, it ends the day before Mother's Day - WTF is up with that?! For those of us who happen to be family men and are planning on attending JavaOne, this sucks. If I want to attend The Ajax Experience, I'd have to fly back on Sunday and then fly back to San Fran on Monday for JavaOne. Booo hisss. Looks like I'll be missing this show.

The Ajax Experience I'll admit, I sounded like a winey little beotch when I wrote this. In reality, the opportunity to go to two shows in the same town in San Francisco is a dream come true. And some how, some way, I've managed to get Julie's blessing to do this. It's her birthday that Saturday, and Mother's Day that Sunday - yet I'm free and clear to goof off in San Francisco with a bunch of geeks. I love this woman. ;-)

Are you going to JavaOne? What about The Ajax Experience? If you're going to be in San Francisco that weekend, let me know - maybe we can grab a brewski at the Thirsty Bear. Posted in Java at Mar 11 2006, 12:01:48 PM MST 7 Comments

You're a lucky guy Matt. If I was to ask the same thing (Even suggest it) to my wife I would probably end up sleeping on the sofa for a couple of days ;)

I am hoping to attend both shows. I am positive my company will send my to JavaOne again. The AJAX one is still questionable :)

Just got back from SD West 2006 - nice conference. Smaller than JavaOne but still nice, and I like the variation in perspective so it's not just implementation sessions but analysis, design, and more. Very balanced. I liked how they did tutorials for 2 days then 3 days of 1.5 hour sessions - I like this better than JavaOne where it's all mixed (remember from 2004 edition). If nothing else, you can skip the tutorial days and just do sessions for 3 days and not blow a whole week if you're busy. Wondering if NFJS is like this but without the expo? JavaOne it was a whole lot easier to score goodies. Anyway SD West is definitely recommended.

Need your help! I'm trying to find a senior engineer with exp developing Eclipse plugins and AJAX exp. Where can I find such a rarity? Please contact me if you know someone or if you'd like to see the job description. This is a cool opportunity in San Diego. If you run into anyone at AJAX Exp please pass this along. Thanks!! Sunny (contact@hightechpros.com ref: job id 1494)
