MacBook Pro Power Management Issues

Last week, during the Denver JUG meeting, my MacBook Pro's battery quit functioning. I got a new one from my local Apple Store the next day. Today, my power cord quit working. Again, my local Apple Store was happy to replace it. I wonder if this is a sign of things to come? It's probably time to backup the whole thing tonight just in case the hard drive is next.

I have a similar battery problem and have a new battery coming my way. But judging from this link, this link and your entry, it seems like i'm not the only one.

highly recommend the backup, lest you end up like me - reduced to trying to extract information from a failed hard drive with weird forensic tools.

What do you use to backup the MacBook Pro? I am not going to join the Mac club, whatever it's called, because there's something criminally wrong with paying 100 a year for what oughtta be free.

Michael - I use Super Duper and Apple's Backup.
