Finishing Chapters: Almost Lost It

In the course of the past week, while editing my chapters, Word (XP) has crashed on me a number of times. Every time I've been able to get my work back and lost nothing more than a few minutes. I'm very impressed as I once lost 10 pages in college. As I was finishing up - running spellchecker at 1:00 this morning - I received the following error and I almost lost it. I had to click OK a number of times before it finally recognized it. Picture me sitting here going "no, No, NO!!" ;-)

Word 98 constantly crashed on me while revising my chapters for Wrox's Beginning JSP. I didn't have these troubles when I wrote it, makes me wonder what the hell Wrox does to the docs before they send them back to us?!

Can't say that I've had this error before, but I do have problems with the styles repeating themselves (in the pick list) every now and again!

Matt, I know exactly what you mean. I lost a couple of documents in Word. Word is IMO one of the crappiest pieces of software out there. Strangely enough, I find Excel to be one of the best!
