Gallery installation and iPhoto integration

Gallery Homepage I installed Gallery (web-based photo album) on my Linux box tonight. The installation was awesomely documented and fairly easy. I did have to download/compile/install a couple of dependent libraries, but the instructions made it simple. Even better, I found the iPhotoToGallery plugin which allows you to publish files to Gallery from iPhoto. Apple's Homepage application kinda sucks for photo management, so I'm definitely digging the Gallery option. Now if I could just find an easy way to export/import from .Mac to Gallery.

It can be done using the upload a URL feature in Gallery. It's not the cleanest but it does work.

I spent about 5 minutes googling and searching the documentation, but found no such feature - any hints you can give me?

I've been waiting ages for a Java based Gallery-like application. Does anyone know if one exist?

By selecting the ADD PHOTOS option there is an option for a URL at the bottom of the window that comes up. Skip the top part of the window (where it would normally take 5 pictures). In that bottom box you can either put a full URL or a directory name on the local machine. If you put a URL it will gather all images on that page and present a list of the photos found for possible upload.
