Those kids are old enough to be humping their own packs by now. But keep 'um light - maybe under 50 pounds for the little one.

Abbie's ready - she had her backpack loaded up so full she could barely close it. We emptied it w/o her knowing it before we started. Amazingly enough, she hiked for 45 minutes of the hour-long trail.
