Hypersonic PC Sucks!

Hypersonic PC Sucks - they charged me $165 for returning the POS Aviator ZX7. I returned it because the following items did not work: power cord, bluetooth card, wireless card. Otherwise, it was a nice machine. Hypersonic PC Sucks because they didn't refund my money until I filed an investigation with my credit card. And then they claimed there was a $100 charge for scratches on the box, and the shipping costs are non-refundable ($65). After this, they warned me:

We also reserve the right to charge a restocking fee of 15%.

Maybe this post will cause them to up-the-ante. In the meantime, I hope Amex gets me a full refund.

I recently purchased an USB ISDN terminal adapter and know the feeling of new being refunded shipping costs. I even had to fax, yes fax, a copy of my credit card statement to them to verify that they did receive payment before they refunded the amount. A ISDN TA is probably not comparable to a top notch laptop but I feel like they should pay me for the time I wasted trying to get the damm thing to work and convincing them that its not my PC and actually the stupid hardware device. Those Hypersonic PC's looked so cool - if they make you pay that 15% restocking fee I'll buying a Dell again. I know from experience that Dell has a proper support system and swaps out or replaces a fautly component hassle/cost free.

American Express has a returns policy where they'll refund charges when you've tried in full faith to return a product to an uncooperative vendor. Follow up with them to see if this qualifies. I think the limits are $300 per item and $1000 per year.

That really sucks! I was interested in your purchase comparing the Hypersonic to the Alienware if I remember correctly... Neither of these companies make the machine, aren't they all rebranded Sager's??? http://www.sagernotebook.com So are you getting a PowerBook?

Am I getting a PowerBook? I don't *need* one, but I certainly want one! ;-)

My experience with Hypersonic truly sucks. Prior to placing my order and making full payment Hypersonic representatives were extremely helpful and available for questions. Delivery speed for the pc was average for an online merchant, however I had not received my battery backup for another couple of weeks and when I got it, it was the wrong item! I ordered an APC battery backup 500 w/3 outlets and they send me an APC battery backup 280 w/1 outlet. BUT that’s not all! After setting up the system, I experienced several freezes and even had a 'blue screen' error.... I could not believe it! I called them up and spoke with 'John' who attempted to solve the problem to no avail and proceeded to tell me I should reinstall the operating system. In shock and disbelief, I actually followed his suggestion only to get the same error a few days later... After careful review, I discovered the TV tuner they installed was not compatible with my motherboard. I ordered my system from Hypersonic expecting the best... from quality parts to customer service to tech support & warranty, but that is NOT the case. After several emails and no response, I called Hypersonic and requested that a TV tuner compatible with my system be delivered and a month or so later an exchange was completed. By this time, I had yet to receive the correct battery backup… I email and call and on several occasions, I speak with John, Mike and Daniel (they all sound like the same person, it would not surprise me if that is the case) who say that a replacement is on the way. One year passes and they still cannot figure out what is going on with the battery backup because they say it comes out of Miami. A few more months and I had owned this pc for exactly 1 ½ yrs and had yet to get what I ordered!!! I have my fiancée call this time, because I am so p’ off. So after another batch of fruitless calls we finally get through to Daniel who says the battery backup had been delivered already. Obviously, we would not be calling if that were the case. I had the replacement TV tuner arrive with no problem (last year), why is this battery backup such a hassle? So Daniel discovers the battery backup had been delivered to another address and says he will send me a battery backup after confirming my address yet one more time. So guess what happens next?! I receive a delivery from UPS in a week or so, and I am actually excited about this battery backup finally arriving because I REALLY NEED IT! They had sent me the wrong item again! It is a 500, but it does not have 3 outlets!! I email Daniel back with the info on how they screwed up again and he replies with another apology and promises to get back with me. A day later Daniel emails me (I had never gotten such a quick response before) with following message I have copied and pasted for your viewing pleasure: Dear Ms. Iturriaga, After further investigation, my supervisor has verified that the correct power backup battery was delivered to you. The two batteries that you currently have in your possesion should make up for the any inconvenience caused by this whole situation. I am not authorized to take any further action in this matter. However, if you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact us. Regards, David Liviem Hypersonic PC Systems 800-520-0498 [email protected] HYPERSONIC SUCKS!!!

hypersonic SUCKS!!!!!, i have had such a bad time with them its crazy. here is my story. i was overseas with the military and i wanted a nice laptop one that cold play all the games my desktop did back home... so i got a hypersonic AVIATOR GX7 pimped out.. the bill was around $3040... well first off it took about 3 months to get to my location... then about 48 hours later i was playing some full spectrum warrior and it was quite crazy... here i am all in to the game right? well i had a smoke grenade in the game and i threw it and when it exploded... so did my pc.... under the keyboard part smoke started to come out and i was like wow this game is F-N awesome!!! (scarcastic) and the screen went pink and black checkered... i was like are you kidding me? a $3000 laptop should not do this in 48 hours... so i called them up and they were giveing me a hard time because i wanted free shipping but ups doesent roll in the middle east... so i had to pay for shipping it was like $65+ that i never got refunded... anways to like 5 months later i heard nothing and was wondering where my pc was... so deicied to give them a call... well to my surprise it got damaged in the mail and they had it in their place for 4 months and never tried to contact me via E-mail... so now im getting a little mad... so i told them just fix it and send it to my home address because i know by now that their slow stupid and what not... so i have them my home address over the phone and in an e-mail.. well needless to say... i return home from my tour of duty with only 48 hours use of my laptop... well now im home for about 2 months and im like where is my laptop? so i call them and their like "oh sir we shipped that to some APO in the middle east." and i was like "are you FU**ing KIDDING ME!!!" and he said "no"... now right now i about had it... my warrenty was running dry quicker then my mom's panties. so about 3 months later outta the blue my laptop appears on my porch.. im like... what is this punked... this cant be real... i thought did they send me an empty box? so i took it inside all excided!!!! so i go and turn it on and it says no OS found.. im like oh no prob i got the disk right herrrrrrrr.... wait a min i remember sending that disk back with my laptop... so now it takes 2 months and many many phone calls to finally get the cd... well during that time i was unable tto use my pc.. so now i get the disk i format install windows and 3 months later the hdd died and my graphics chip fries... they tell me im outta warrenty and its commin outta my pocket... i flip a SH*t and i tell them im going to their Corporate Headquarters which is 45 mins from my house.. they then did my repairs for free.. then about almost a year later my memory stick died... so Fu*k hypersonic dont buy sh*t from them their are bad and need to stop fronting a bootleg company...
