10+ YEARS

Over 10 years ago, I wrote my first blog post. Since then, I've authored books, had kids, traveled the world, found Trish and blogged about it all.

JavaOne - the journey begins

My flight leaves Denver around 3:00 and is supposed to arrive at SFO at 7:15. If I'm good, I can grab a taxi and make it to Moscone before registration closes at 8. I doubt it, but it's worth a try. If it's closed, I'll head to my hotel and try to hook up with Bruce, Bill or Simon. Leave a comment or shoot me an e-mail if you are around and want to hook up tonight.

We're planning on heading down to Fisherman's Wharf tonight (probably Jacks) for some pre-conference drinking (apparently it's a good jetlag cure!) so I'll give you a call later.

You could stop by the Struts meetup: http://tinyurl.com/2mpsq :)

I think registration closes at 7 tonight. Sounds like you can skip the rush and head out for the beer.

My flight got in a lot earlier than I expected. I landed at 4:45, but managed to lose my cell phone somehow. Even better, my hotel doesn't have me listed - so I'm essentially lost without communication. I'll try Jack's and the Thirsty Bear - see if I know/recognize anyone. I'm all registered and ready to have a pint...

We're going to head down to the Thirsty Bear straight after the welcome reception before going for something to eat so we'll probably see you in there rather than Jacks.
