10+ YEARS

Over 10 years ago, I wrote my first blog post. Since then, I've authored books, had kids, traveled the world, found Trish and blogged about it all.

No Fluff Just Stuff

I had lunch today with Jay Zimmerman of No Fluff Just Stuff. I always enjoy getting together with Jay because he's from Montana and Montanans are generally nice folks. Among other things, he asked if I would be interested in speaking at a NFJS event or two. I said I'd think about it. However, I'm strongly considering it since it would probably be a good marketing tool.

I probably wouldn't do any events until sometime this summer. Now I just have to figure out what I'd speak on...

Talk at the boston event. And you could talk about the hibernate/spring/ibatis work. Nice to hear about the 3 platforms

Talk at the Twin Cities Software Symposium at the end of April! I don't care about what! Bring your whole family (though will Julie be able to come? I forget when Little Raible #2 is due).

April is a bit soon for me - I have too much to do between now and then. Besides that, I'd like attend a NFJS event before I speak at one! ;-)

Talk on AppFuse!! Or if you want to have a WebWork compare Struts and maybe get Erik H. to join in with Tapestry I would be interested.

I was just at the Philly conference and remember thinking I would have enjoyed talking to you about Spring and AppFuse. You should definitely try to get on board with Jay.

First off, Jay is great. Last year I was on the Dallas Java user group board and was responsible for helping him promote his Dallas stop. Matt, bring your speech down to Dallas. It's a late-year stop so you'll have plenty of time to come up with something.
